A welcome dinner with a Chinese cuisine option follows. Overnight at Jetwing Lagoon.

Travel through Sri Lanka's cultural heartland, visiting the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Cave Temple en route to Sigiriya. Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress for panoramic views over the Cultural Triangle; a sunset ascent is recommended for cooler, more comfortable conditions. Overnight at Aliya Resort & Spa.

Spend the morning experiencing rural village life and culture, then continue to Kandy to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy Lake, and local markets, with an optional cultural show or spice garden visit rounding out the day. Overnight at The Golden Crown Hotel.

Travel through curated highland stops, including Ramboda Falls, tea plantations, and Gregory Lake, on the scenic journey to Ella. On arrival, visit the photogenic Nine Arch Bridge and settle into the town's laid-back mountain atmosphere for the rest of the afternoon. Overnight at 98 Acres Resort & Spa.

Choose a morning hike to Little Adam's Peak or Ella Rock based on group preference, then visit Ravana Falls before continuing to Yala for an afternoon safari. Look for leopards, elephants, crocodiles and rich birdlife, with sightings strongest from February to July. Overnight at Jetwing Yala.

Travel the southern coastline to explore UNESCO-listed Galle Fort's colonial streets, galleries and ocean views, and learn the story of the Galle Trilingual Inscription left by Admiral Zheng He's fleet in the 15th century. Enjoy optional beach time in Unawatuna and a farewell group dinner by the ocean. Overnight in Galle.

Spend a leisurely final morning in Galle before a scenic coastal drive to Bandaranaike International Airport via the Southern Expressway, with an optional shopping stop for Ceylon tea, gemstones and handicrafts depending on your flight schedule. Departure marks the end of a circuit through Sri Lanka's cultural heartland and coast.
