The day
Your day, at a glance.
High in the misty central highlands, Horton Plains National Park offers a dramatically different Sri Lanka: cool cloud forests, rolling grasslands, and one of the island's most spectacular natural viewpoints. The tour's highlight is the trek to World's End, a sheer escarpment that drops nearly 900 metres, offering panoramic views across the southern lowlands on clear mornings. Along the way, the trail passes Baker's Falls, a picturesque cascading waterfall set amid dense montane forest, and offers opportunities to spot endemic bird species and sambar deer. Early starts are essential, as clouds typically roll in by mid-morning, obscuring the famous view.
